Serigraph

What is a serigraph?

A serigraph is the classical term for what is known today as “screen printing.”

Serigraph printing is a method in which a silk screen is used to transfer ink onto the surfaces of paper, fabric, glass or metal. A blocking fluid is used to create a negative stencil and a squeegee is ran over the surface; pushing ink through the open screen and transferring onto the substrate surface.
